Roscommon IFA sheep chair is calling on Government to realize the need for stability for sheep farmers.
Hundreds took part in today's IFA Protest in Roscommon town, highlighting the income crisis on sheep farms.
Michael Glennon from Ballydangan says farmers must know what price they are going to get before putting the sheep in lamb.
He insists the large numbers that turned out in Roscommon for today's protest shows the level of annoyance amongst farmers.
'We need to send a clear message to the government that we need more money in the sector.
I am very frustrated at the recent crisis because we don't see a future in this for our sons or daughters.
I don't know where the prices is going to end. We have seen the figures Teagasc have put up with each ewe being seven euros a head for a year which is not viable.'
