Upgrade works at Ballymurray National School in Co Roscommon are due to be decided on by the local authority in the coming weeks.
Planning permission is being sought to relocate and upgrade the existing waste treatment system there, as well as upgrading car parking spaces, developing a new driveway and set down area, footpaths and a new opening on to the public road.
If approved, works will also see the demolition of an existing concrete shelter at the school which is situated between Roscommon town and Knockcroghery.
Roscommon County Council are accepting public submissions on the plans until Thursday August 20th with a decision due on September 10th.
