Independent Ireland have announced a new candidate to run in June's local elections in Leitrim.
The Party has selected Karina Charles Lynch to contest the election in the Ballinamore Local Electoral area in Leitrim.
The newly announced candidate describes herself as an advocate for community engagement and states she's committed to the well being of Irish families.
Local Roscommon/Galway TD and senior party member Michael Fitzmaurice has welcomed the Cavan native's addition to the ticket, stating that her priorities resonate deeply with the values of Independent Ireland.
The Belturbet woman says that traditional political parties are out of step with the ordinary Irish person and has accused the Government of mismanaging the immigration crisis.
