The construction of a new indoor swimming pool in Longford has been given the green light
Fr Manning Gaels GAA club in Drumlish applied to Longford County Council for the construction of a multi-purpose building to house the pool, changing rooms, treatment room and a general purpose room at their ground.
Included in the plans for Monaduff Park are the construction of an astro turf pitch, hand ball alley, new lighting fixtures and perimeter fencing.
The Club executive are also seeking to construct a car park area to serve the new development, accessed from the existing car park.
The application also features the provision of a pedestrian walkway around the club linking to the existing path connecting to Drumlish village.
Longford County Planners approved the application with 6 conditions attatched
