A protest by nurses which was due to take place at Sligo University hospital this lunchtime has been postponed.
The demonstration, organised by the INMO, hoped to highlight ongoing concerns over staffing and overcrowding issues at the north-west facility.
It's understood the protest, which was due to get underway at 1pm, has been stood down after Management at the hospital agreed to an assessment of staffing requirements.

The INMO has confirmed that the protest has been stood down for the moment due to further engagement and negotiation with the hospital management and the HSE.
