Sligo University Hospital currently holds the highest number of patients waiting locally in Emergency Departments, with 36 people on trolleys or waiting in wards.

Nationally, 72-thousand 391 people have gone without a bed in Irish hospitals in 2023.

Sligo hospital has one of the largest amount of patients being accommodated on trolleys in the country

Today's INMO Trolley watch figures show just 43 people waiting for beds across the country compared to over 100 patients at the end of June.

A total of 822 patients were left without a bed at the facility.

A high number of people are presenting at the ED.

The number of people waiting on trolleys now stands at 48.
