The installation of a new water pipework on the outskirts of Roscommon town will begin within the next number of days.
Half a kilometre of new water main will be laid in Lisnamult.
Irish Water say the replacement of the old pipes will have a positive impact on water pressure for homes in the area.

The section of works will take place along the L-70524-0 and a stop/go system will be in place.
Customers will also be given a minimum of 48 hours' notice of any essential short-term interruptions to the local water supply
