Investigation underway after discovery of bodies of man and woman discovered in Cavan house

An investigation is underway after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a house in Cavan last night.

The discovery was made by Gardai after concern was raised by a neighbour who had not seen the couple, who lived in Cloverhill near Belturbet, for a number of days.

The scene has been sealed off and gardaí are carrying out a technical examination of the scene

Gardai have not yet commented on the nature of their investigation and it's expected that port mortems will guide the nature of their enquiries.
