Gardaí in Leitrim are investigating two alleged assaults and an incident of alleged criminal damage in the county town last week.
The incidents took place on Wednesday the 16th of August in the Townparks area of Carrick on Shannon.
Two people received non life threatening injuries during the course of the alleged assault, with criminal damage also caused to a mobile phone.
The incidents came in the aftermath of a protest of Carrick on Shannon Library over LGBTQ+ material available on site.
A number of protestors arrived in the town via boat and demonstrated outside of the building before returning Quay Road where they were moored.
It's understood the alleged assault occurred Quayside, leaving two people injured.
A Garda investigation is ongoing at this time.
