People in the midlands and west of Ireland have a new opportunity to travel almost direct to far flung destinations with the inaugural Aer Lingus flight from the airport to Heathrow yesterday.

We would have several points of connectivity to the UK market , we've 9 destinations at the moment and we would have had long standing routes to the likes of Luton, Stanstead, etc, but yesterday is a game changer in terms of connectivity as it connects the airport for the first time with one of Europe's biggest connecting hubs in Heathrow.
The advantages that brings for the west of Ireland such as connections to 80 destinations worldwide through Heathrow , so a very very big day for the airport yesterday.
