Irish Olympic Track Cyclist with local links set to compete in Paris later today

An Irish Track Cyclist with Roscommon links is set to compete in the Velodrome at the Olympics later today. Kelly Murphy is representing Team Ireland in the Women's Team Pursuit from 4.30pm this afternoon.

She was born in London and currently lives in Birmingham however her father Gerry is from Co. Roscommon and her mother Ellen hails from Co. Dublin. Team Ireland have currently won 6 medals at the Olympics with Kellie Harrington set to add either Gold or Silver later tonight as she competes in the Women's lightweight boxing final.
