Irish Rail apologise to those impacted by train delays last Sunday

Irish Rail also said it was not possible to source replacement buses as they were all in use due to the Bruce Springsteen concert taking place in Croke Park.

Irish Rail has apologised to customers who were impacted by the cancelled Sligo-Dublin train on Sunday morning. A spokesperson for Irish Rail confirmed that the service did not run due to driver illness however they said there was a train that ran in its path from Edgeworthstown to Dublin.

Those who were waiting to depart from between Sligo and Edgeworthstown had to wait for the 11.05 service. Irish Rail also said it was not possible to source replacement buses as they were all in use due to the Bruce Springsteen concert taking place in Croke Park.
