Irish Rail says the ticket office at Longford railway station has been fully manned in the mornings during the past month for people who wanted to buy tickets for train journeys.
The statement follows criticism from some commuters who've said they didn't have the computer skills to buy tickets online while the office was closed some afternoons in November.
The afternoon closure of the ticket office and toilets took place on during some days this month as a result of operational issues.
Irish Rail says the vast majority of customers already use online booking to buy tickets, and they can also be booked by phone at 1850 366 222.
Meanwhile the company says a delay this morning on the Longford to Connolly service was as a result of a level crossing fault at Blakestown Level Crossing near Maynooth.
