Officials say alleged issues with the slaughter of horses in England don’t happen in Ireland.
A BBC panorama programme broadcast last night found thousands of former racehorses have been slaughtered in England since 2019.
It said a majority of these were trained in Ireland.

The programme also claimed there were animal welfare issues with how the horses were slaughtered.
