Irish Water is assuring customers on the Ballaghaderreen Public Supply that the water is safe to drink.
Some customers had raised concern having experienced some discolouration in their supply.
In a statement Irish Water say this is as a result of repair works which were carried out at the plant earlier this week and disturbed sediment in the pipework.
It's understood crews are on site today flushing the lines to resolve the issue as soon as possible
Ger Greally, Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, said: "we apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers as a result of the discolouration in the water supply but they can be assured that the water from Ballaghaderreen Water Treatment Plant is safe to drink."
