Ivan Yates is tipping Roscommon-Galway TD Martin Daly to get a junior ministry in the new government. The ministers of state posts are likely to be confirmed next week - if a new Taoiseach is elected later today.
Deputy Daly, from Fianna Fáil, was elected to the Dáil for the first time in the recent general election. But Yates - a former agriculture minister - believes the GP is set to be a junior minister, after studying the area recently for a podcast:
