The new Cathaoirleach of Roscommon County Council says job creation will be a top priority for him during his tenure.
Councillor Tom Crosby was elected by fellow representatives at yesterday's annual meeting of the Council.
It's his fourth time to take up the position since he was first elected in 1991 and he believes the creation of employment is crucial following the closure of the ESB power plant and Bord na Mona in Lanesborough in recent years.
The Independent Councillor also hopes to work on the development of the county's tourism offerings including the proposed Roscommon greenway.
