The legendary GAA manager and former TD and senator died on Saturday at the age of 71 in a Galway hospital.

Arrangements have been made for John O'Mahony's funeral in Ballaghaderreen later this week.

The legendary GAA manager and former TD and senator died on Saturday at the age of 71 in a Galway hospital.

His remains will repose at his home in the Tower House, Market Street, Ballaghaderreen tomorrow from 4pm to 8pm and on Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm.

The house is private at all other times.

His removal will take place on Wednesday for prayers at 8pm in St Nathy's Cathedral, where the funeral will take place on Thursday at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Kilcolman Cemetery nearby.
