The jury in the trial of a man accused of an alleged Longford stabbing in 2018 are to continue their deliberations today.
Denis Hannifin of Curry, Athlone Road, has pleaded not guilty of the assault of Denis McGinley as well as to charges of affray and possession and production of a weapon capable of causing serious harm.
The charges date back to the 7th of December 2018 at the Longford Shopping Centre, where Denis McGinley received a number of wounds to his chest, face, arm and back.
The jury of 7 women and 5 men have been charged by Judge Francis Commerford to deliberate on the evidence provided over the course of a 3 day trial at Longford Circuit Criminal Court this week.
