Roscommon has seen just four IDA visits over the last year and a half according to new figures released in the Dáil.
The Industrial Development Agency's main objective is to encourage investment into Ireland by foreign-owned companies.
IDA Ireland currently support 10 client companies in County Roscommon, who employ over five and a half thousand people in total.
From the start of 2022 to June 2023, just four in person visits were made to the county by IDA officials with no E-visits registered across the 18 months.
Meanwhile in Galway, there were 31 visits to the county, with a further 9 digital visits during the same time frame.
Roscommon Galway Sinn Fein TD Claire Kerrane believes it shows a lack of priority in investing in Roscommon:
'We need to see the creation of Jobs in Roscommon. We need to see a focus on all counties and a fairness spread across the West.
We are already at the bottom of the table when it comes to investment across the state.
We need to see a focus on the creation of jobs and we need to see a level playing field, where all counties are considered when it comes to investment, particularly in relation to bringing jobs to Roscommon.'
