Just 1 application has been approved for the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant in the Shannonside region.
The scheme provides a maximum 30-thousand euro grant for the conversion of a previously vacant property to a living standard, and a 20-thousand euro top-up grant if the building is derelict.
Leitrim is the only county in the region to have had an application approved, with seven submitted total.
Longford has only had two applications submitted for the grant, with a decision still due on both.
Roscommon has submitted the most applications at 19, but none of these have been approved, with seven of them rejected so far.
Nationally, 419 applications have been made with 122 rejected and 66 approved.
