Just three fines were issued for dog fouling by local authorities in the Shannonside Northern Sound last year.

Figures released by the NCBI as part of their Clear Our Paths Campaign also show that 91 cars were fined for improper parking locally in 2022.
Cars parked on footpaths have emerged as the number one obstacle visually impaired people face, with 19 thousand fines handed out in 2022.
Locally, Longford accounted for the majority of fines, with 53 fixed notice penalties given to drivers.
That's followed by 36 in Monaghan and just 2 in Cavan.
Leitrim recorded no fines last year, while Roscommon County Council did not have a traffic warden on staff over the course of the year.
The National Council for the Blind Ireland campaign has also highlighted that dog fouling is still a massive issue.
Nationally just 82 dog fouling fines handed out by local authorities across Ireland last year, with Roscommon County Council issuing the region's only three fines.
