The Aptar cosmetics factory in Ballinasloe has closed its doors with all floor staff having been laid off in recent days.
The company confirmed in August that it was ceasing production at the facility in the east Galway area with the loss of 115 jobs.
The firm's parent company has confirmed to Shannonside Northern Sound that the only two employees left at the facility are the Human Resources manager as well as the Financial Manager.
Most of the production machinery has been moved to Aptar's France and Italy facilities, and the remaining ancillaries sold to Irish entrepreneurs.
The company also claims that says that management worked to help employees find new positions and the majority have been hired by other companies.
Last week the Tanaiste met with the West Regional Enterprise Plan's steering group morning to highlight the need for investment in the Ballinasloe area covering East Galway and South Roscommon.
