Kilcash community rails against plans for 150m turbine

Residents in the Kilcash area of south Roscommon are appealing to people to consider the implications of a new wind turbine in the area.

The Kilcash Wind Turbine Action group is opposing an application by Natural Forces Renewable Energy Ltd to erect a 150 meter turbine in the area.

There are already two turbines closeby in Skrine, which have caused people to leave their home because of the intrusion of noise and flicker.

There are 17 homes within a kilometer of the proposed development, with one just over 600 meters away.
