Killoe Emmet Og are set to appeal a believed 48-week suspension issued by the Longford CCC committee.
The suspension will affect all Killoe Emmet Og teams from under-16 to senior grade and is a result for failing to comply with a sanction issued from the under-16 final in January.
The suspension follows on from a sanction issued after an investigation by the CCC into just one team appearing at the Longford Under-16A County final on January five last between Killoe Emmet Og and St.Francis\Colmcille
The suspension would result in the 2019 senior county champions being unable to defend their title.
It is believed the suspension would impact all members including county board and match officials.
Both Killoe Emmet Og and Longford county board were unavailable for comment.
Shannonside Sport has learnt that Killoe Emmet Og will be appealing the decision.
