Towns and villages across the Shannonside region were awarded today at the national Tidy Towns Competition.
Kilteevan in Roscommon took home the National Heritage Award while Ballyleague was highly recommended in the water and community category, placing second in the region.
Abbeyshrule won gold for Longford, Carrick-on-Shannon took the top prize in Leitrim, while Keadue and Roscommon town took gold for the county.
