Large crowds expected at Carrick Carnival this weekend

Hundreds of people are expected to attend a festival in Carrick-on-Shannon over the bank holiday weekend.

The Carrick Carnival is an action-packed five-day festival of entertainment. It got under way on Thursday night, when up to 2,000 people attended the Taste of Carrick, and continues until Monday.

Brendan Dee, the chief operating officer of Carrick Chamber of Commerce, explains what's in store today.
