The Dáil is sitting for the final day before TDs go on their summer holidays.
There will be a six week recess with the Dáil not returning until the middle of September.
TDs won't be too upset to see the back of Leinster House and the Convention Centre for a while.
The government in particular badly needs the recess after a series of controversies since taking office.
Over the past few weeks the government has dealt with gilted TDs that missed out on a Ministry, criticisms of where they selected Ministers and the sacking of one of them in Barry Cowen.
They published Schrodinger's greenlist of countries you both can and can't travel to before giving Ministers pay rises and then taking most of them away but not still ending up better off than the last government.
There's now a row over junior ministerial advisors after controversy about Eamon Ryan getting 8 advisors of his own, the Tánaiste keeping an aide-de-camp and Simon Coveney keeping his state car.
While another u-turn came yesterday with a reversal on the decision to take welfare payments from people who travel to countries on the aforementioned greenlist.
In the middle of all that controversy the government has passed new laws, published the biggest cash investment in the history of the state in the July stimulus plan and developed a roadmap to re-open schools next month.
But that's all been overshadowed by a series of mis-steps that government TDs are hoping can just be blamed on growing pains for this new coalition.
They'll be looking to iron all that out over the next few weeks.
