Public realm works due to begin in Carrick-on-Shannon this month have been rescheduled.
Streetscape enhancements along the L3401 between Cryan's Hotel and Carrick Plaza Suites were expected to commence in June and continue for four months.
However, in a statement, Leitrim County Council hopes the works will now begin after the summer period, once the seasonal holidays have abated.
At the April Municipal District Meeting, some Councillors labelled the proposed summer works as poor planning.
The improvements include the widening of footpaths as well as enhancing public lighting and seating.
It's understood the construction tenders have been received and are currently being evaluated
