A guidance counsellor is warning Leaving Cert students that it's "unlikely" they'll start college in September, if they chose to appeal their results.
Sixth years will receive their results next Friday but won't know if they've secured a place in their chosen course until the following Wednesday.
It's expected points will rise this year, which will increase the number of appeals submitted.
