A former Leitrim councillor has unveiled artwork to advocate for more female representation in local politics.
Artist Sinead Guckian, who used to be a representative at Leitrim County Council, showcased her art at the Customs House in Dublin in honour of Women's Day.
A number of politicians attended the event, with Limerick TD Kieran O'Donnell commenting that the artwork embodies the idea of "Inspire Inclusion."
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Sinead Guckian explained how the project came about:
