A Leitrim student has been voted the FBD Farm Safe School champions for Connacht.
Second class student Kian McNabola of St Brigid's National School in Dromcong scooped the prize for this month.
Each month, a dedicated regional champion is selected to celebrate children who demonstrate commitment to improving farm safety awareness, both in school and the wider community.
Farm Safe Schools coordinator, Alma Jordan, says Kian is very active on the farm at home and has a "tremendous willingness to share his knowledge of farm safety with classmates.
Kian will be awarded with a certificate of achievement and a family pass to Dublin Zoo.
