The Cathaoirleach of Leitrim County Council has called for all forestry owners to be contacted following Storm Darragh last month. Fianna Fáil Cllr Paddy O’Rourke brought forward the motion at todays Leitrim County Council meeting. At one stage, 31,000 customers across the Shannonside region were without electricity following the Storm with some premises in Co. Leitrim left without power for up to eight days.
