Ballinamore-Sean O'Heslin's secured their second win of the Connacht Gold Leitrim championship with a 10 points to seven win Aughawillan.
Ballinamore found the scoring tough in the final stages of the games to gain their second win of the campaign.
Two late points for Ballinamore from Shane Moran and Andrew Burns sealing the victory for Ballinamore who sit top of group one with four points.
Also in group two Mohill landed a hammer blow to St.Marys Kiltoghert’s chances of progressing as they ran in a 2-14 to seven point win. Mohill finding the net either side of the first half to run in that 13 point victory and leave St. Mary’s with no points from their opening games.
In group B Glencar-Manor Hamilton continued their winning ways with a 14 points to 1-8 win over Drumreilly.
Glencar was always in control leading seven points to three at half-time, considing an early goal making no difference to Glencar as points from Peter Poinard, Niall Brady and three from Aaron Hickey saw them to victory.
Meanwhile Melvin Gaels scored a three point over Allen Gaels winning out 1-13 to 1-10 as they secured their first win over the campaign, meaning Allen Gaels will need to claim a result against Leitrim Gaels to stay in the championship next week.
