A Leitrim councillor has called for improvement works to be carried out along a local road.
Councillor Enda McGloin has called for the main road from North Leitrim into Drumshanbo to be upgraded by spring.
Recent adverse weather conditions have caused storm water to remain along the edges of the road.

The Ballinamore councillor is proposing to replace the drainage system and create a verge to discourage drivers from parking along the road and damaging the draining pipe.
Speaking to Shannonside FM News, he said the issue will lead to the erosion of the road and further expenses down the line, if not tackled immediately.
