Leitrim County Council have confirmed that the Leas Cathaoirleach and Chief Executive will travel to the US this week for St Patricks Day. Cllr Sean McGowan and Joseph Gilhooly will arrive in New York on Wednesday. Cllr McGowan and Gilhooly will form the Leitrim County Council delegation and they will spend a week over in New York. Their first engagements will be meetings this Thursday with IDA Ireland and Tourism Ireland.
On Friday, Cllr McGowan and Gilhooly will attend the Leitrim Society of New York Dinner Dance. Two days later on St Patricks Day, the pair will firstly attend mass in St. Patrick's Cathedral followed by participating in the New York St. Patricks Day Parade with members of the Leitrim Society of New York. They will return back to Ireland two days later on Wednesday the 19th of March.
