A local councillor has called for additional ambulance crews for Leitrim after a patient in a life-threatening situation was left waiting over three hours for treatment. Sinn Féin councillor Brendan Barry said regional ambulance crews were under increased pressure to respond within target times. He also requested information pertaining to the percentage of life-threatening calls responded to within the HSE's stated 19 minutes.
