A Leitrim Councillor is calling on the local authority to expedite the development of flood defences. Sinn Féin Councillor Cormac Flynn is bringing forward a motion at next Monday's Carrick on Shannon Municipal District meeting.
He says the county are entering another winter with no major flood defences in the region. Cllr Flynn says the county has been waiting too long for the works to progress:
