Ballinamore councillor Ita Reynolds-Flynn says she'd be interested in running in the general election - if Fine Gael decides to add a Leitrim candidate. Frank Feighan was the only candidate chosen at the Sligo-Leitrim selection convention last night, where he beat former junior minister John Perry.
Former Senator Michael Comiskey is calling for the party to add a Leitrim candidate to the ticket. Councillor Reynolds-Flynn, whose brother Gerry was a TD, has not ruled out running as part of a two-candidate strategy.
