Fianna Fáil's Leitrim councillors are meeting in Leitrim village tonight to consider their coalition options in the new council. It is the biggest group on Leitrim County Council after last Friday's elections, with six councillors out of 18. There are also five Independents, while Sinn Fein has four and Fine Gael has three - down from six in the last council.
The last council was controlled by Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and Independent councillors Enda Stenson and Felim Gurn. Fine Gael councillor Enda McGloin says that would be a good arrangement again as it was successful:
