JP McManus' donation will be a game changer for clubs in Leitrim. That's the view of the chairperson of the Leitrim County Board, Enda Stenson. County Boards across Ireland received a donation of €1 million from the Limerick businessman, to be split evenly between GAA, Ladies Football, and Camogie clubs.
According to estimates contained in the Irish Times, clubs across Leitrim could be set to receive over €25,000 each. Whilst clubs in Longford could receive close to €30,000 and Roscommon just over €20,000. Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show, the Leitrim County Chair says for rural clubs in smaller counties, the money will have wide-reaching benefits.
