Leitrim County Council has expressed concern over the slow pace of works in Carrick-on-Shannon as part of the town's streetscape project.
The September meeting of the local authority heard that discussion are to take place with the contractor after disappointment was expressed at how slow the works are being carried out.
Councillor Des Guckian claimed that local residents in the town were concerned that very little progress had bene made since works resumed in July.
Director of service Joseph Gilhooley told the meeting that discussion are ongoing with the contractor and that the local authority would be anxious to see a "pick up" in the pace of construction abut no end date for the project was available.
