The on hold music for one local county council has come in for scathing criticism from one of its own members.
Independent councillor Des Guckian is urging the local authority to change its tune and showcase a musician with Leitrim links.
Cllr Guckian raised the issue at this month's meeting of the council, claiming the current waiting music was, in his own words 'annoying the hell out of everyone'.
The Dromod councillor proposed using the music of long-time Leitrim resident Turlough O'Carolan to better represent the county.
Speaking to Shannonside News, Cllr Guckian said it was time the local authority faced the music:
