Leitrim County Council has been paid over €130,000 in the last two years by forestry companies to repair any damage caused by plantations in the county.
At the January meeting of the local authority, Councillor Gerry Dolan asked the Council to provide figures for the money received from forestry companies and Coillte for the repair of bridges and roads in the county in 2019 and 2020.
The Council revealed that it received over €37,000 (€37,880) two years ago, and almost €100,000 (€99115) last year.
The Council also received refundable planning deposits in respect forestry related applications to the value of over €30,000.
