Leitrim County Council is to spend just over 42 million euro in on goods and services in the county next year.
Councillors are meeting today to agree the financial position the Council finds itself in with an extra three million euro to be spent next year compared to 2020.
Chief Executive Lar Power explained the Budget was framed in light of ongoing support by government regarding the loss of commercial rates, while a special 'hardship' fund of 20,000 euro is also being provided for firms, on a case-by-case basis this year and in 2021.
The Council is set to receive 9.2 million euro from the local property tax with a total income next year of just over 27 million euro.
The expenditure overall will be 42.7 million euro, 3.1 million euro more than this year - as a result of extra investment in roads, tourism, housing and regional waste enforcement.
The meeting is set to conclude early this afternoon.
