A Leitrim couple who were living in a council home that had problems with damp and mould have now found alternative accommodation in Drumshanbo. Gary and Deborah, who are expecting their first child, were living in Mohill and say the issues first became apparent in August 2023.
Leitrim Cllr Des Guckian raised the couple's plight at the most recent Carrick-on-Shannon Municipal District meeting calling on the council to find a solution to the situation. Cllr Guckian welcomed the development after a long campaign:
