A former Eurovision winner is backing Ireland's entry to qualify for the final tonight.
Derry's Brooke Scullion is taking part in the semi-finals in Turin in Italy this evening.
She's hoping to be one of 25 performers who'll be in action in Saturday's grand final.
Charlie McGettigan won the competition for Ireland in 1994 - he says it's a daunting experience, but Brooke can progress.
''I remember when we did this way back in 1984, even walking down to the three arena and walking into the the environment of Eurovision that that was 28 years ago. I remember being flabbergasted by the size of the whole place but you see you rehearse for two or three days. And it all becomes much more you become very used to it. And I think she's got a very, the whole public characteristic has no personality, which will help her I think and I hope I hope she does really well.''
