Fianna Fáil Leitrim councillors have agreed to speak to Sinn Fein about a possible coalition deal in the new council.
Fianna Fáil is the biggest group on Leitrim County Council after last Friday's elections, with six councillors out of 18. There are also five Independents, while Sinn Fein has four and Fine Gael has three - down from six in the last council. Fianna Fáil councillors met in Leitrim village last night, where they agreed to have talks with both Fine Gael, Sinn Fein and Independents.
