Leitrim GAA have hailed the "wonderful" efforts of their supporters after the huge success of their ambitious '50 Miles in January Challenge' helped raise €101,382.
Leitrim supporters at home and across the world were out running, walking or soloing 50 miles in January in the cold, rain, snow and ice looking to raise funds for the county's cause before the start of the new season.
Originally hoping to raise €50,000, Leitrim supporters more than doubled their target, raising an €101,382 in just a month.
The money raised will go directly to supporting Leitrim inter-county teams in 2021.
We've done it - we've crossed €100,000 !
The final verified numbers are in from all of the parallel fundraisers & have been incorporated into our main account. What a wonderful effort by everyone from all over the world. Absolutely Brilliant !! ? ?
