A train carrying Leitrim supporters home from Croke Park last Saturday was delayed by almost two hours due to anti-social behaviour. Irish Rail confirmed the deferred Connolly-Sligo service departed Edgeworthstown 109 minutes late after Gardaí were called. Gardaí confirmed they attended the scene on Saturday evening and a number of people were cautioned. No arrests were made.
Irish Rail has apologised for the inconvenience and appealed to customers not to engage in anti-social behaviour. A spokesperson said refund details for those affected were available on irishrail.ie.
